- Kevin reporting from Sesame Street studios for their 40th Birthday.

Rousing Music

Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 3 - 3rd Movement (Finale: Alla breve)

Beware, it starts with a bang - on a tonic D minor chord. This builds up to a key change to D major in one of the most melodious tunes by Rachy. It'll start your day off, but beware of traffic when crossing the road if you're listening to this on headphones. :)

Wind Down Music

Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1 - 2nd Movement (Romance - Larghetto)

Those familiar with classical music will know that wind down, relaxing music in a classical concerto is usually the 2nd movement. And with a name like "Romance", it becomes quite obvious. It starts a little wary-footed for about 30 secs, then the first note from the Piano just shoots right through the uncertainty, bringing you the most lyrical piece that'll charm even non-classical listeners. If you have not listened to this, you have not lived.

Incidentally, it was used in the movie The Truman Show (starring Jim Carrey) and is played in its entirety at the end credits. It was included on the soundtrack album released for the movie. It is also featured in the Korean Drama Stairway to Heaven.
